#1 Taz

This is the first of 52 square portraits, taken with an old Mamiya c220. I’ll post these throughout this year. Weekly. More or less.

In lieu of a more specific theme emerging, my portraits will be linked by the word ‘neighbour’… however I may interpret that.

For me, this is about the joy of taking this lovely old film camera out to play, slowing down, engaging with what’s around me, and embarking on an extended project that is simple enough to avoid all the overanalysis that sometimes bogs these things down.

So. Starting close to home, this is my flatmate Taz, on 8 Jan 2012. Hello!
