  • Jessica, my neighbour, in the mist this morning, with a cushion decorated with Iceland landscapes. Day 264.
  • Lello, a scientist I met when I was walking down Church St yesterday. He was writing down reasons to stop smoking. Day 214.
  • Bobby, a decorator and Stokey resident born and bred, encountered on the high street today. Day 247.
  • David, a pub licensee, at mutual friends’ housewarming last night. Day 221.
  • Stacy, performance artist, Newington Green. Day 10.
  • My friend Chino looking out over backstreet Stokey. Day 82.
  • Alannah, an artist, working at Lucky Seven Records on Stokey Church St. Day 120.
  • John, owner of the Second Hand Yard off Church St, with Riley the dog. Day 96.
  • Lucy and Thomas, in Clissold Park this afternoon. Day 314.
  • Jack, who was my neighbour in Crouch End when we were kids, visiting from Brisbane, where he’s lived since 1989. Photographed in the White Hart. Day 98.

  • Shazad, co-owner of Pak Supermarket, a family-run business on Church Street. Day 101.
  • Artist Julio Osorio with one of his paintings at his show’s opening last night. Day 289.
  • Chiara, an Italian living in London, who said she hated being photographed, so I felt rather humbled that she offered to be my portrait no.163.
  • Bedri, minicab controller, outside the cab station in Stokey High St last night. Day 157.
