Fish & chips and frosted flip flops
Walking over Cromer’s sandy beach at dawn this Sunday, the ground crunched beneath my boots. The sand was frozen! I’m a city gal who mainly associates sand and sea with summer holidays, so a frozen beach must be an oxymoron, right? Apparently not.
Despite the biting cold it was a beautiful weekend and I got a chance to take some photos for my long stalled ‘off-season seaside towns’ project.
I was up in Norfolk to do an interview for the Manor Gardens oral history project and spent the rest of the weekend exploring Cromer. I can highly recommend the quirky and friendly No.4 B&B should you ever be down that way, and dinner in front of the fire at the Red Lion pub.
